With A Rebel Yell, She Cried Mo, Mo, Mo

That's a totally catchy title right?  Oh just wait, it's about to get real up in here.  All my ghetto slang aside, and my total tardiness of this post, I've got an important message {laced with sarcasm} to deliver. Plus a very important, yet terrifying announcement.  Pinktober is over {love for the boobies}, Movember is upon us.

In case you haven't heard of Movember, it is basically this, I'll copy and paste for you, you're welcome:

Once registered at www.movember.com, men start Movember 1st clean shaven. For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Supported by the women in their lives, Mo Sistas, Movember Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.

In essence, grow a stache to raise awareness and money for Prostate Cancer, love the boobs, but love the dudes too.   This is something that is dear to my bestie, Christina's heart...go read this, she's way more eloquent, and funny than I am.  I cannot even tell you how many dates the fake stache has secured her, seems dudes like a lady with a fake stache.  I don't understand that, nor does she, and I can't speak to the caliber of men this attracts either.

Moving on, women {most women} can't grow a mustache, so we must find Movember alternatives, nobody likes wearing a fake mustache everyday, it's itchy and irritating, plus it sticks to your lip gloss.  Therefore, yes, therefore, we must go alternative routes, Christina didn't shave her armpits last year, I also threatened her bodily harm if she posted those pictures on her blog.  It was serious people, there was a poll and everything.  That will come back to haunt her when she makes a run for the white house.  This year, she is shaving nothing...

I cannot be as brave as to completely not shave, I'd be writing a post on how to terrify your boyfriend in 30 days and I just can't chance it.  But heartless and totally conceited I am not.  So here's what I'll do, you friends, have read about the woes of my eyebrows, I will not pluck, wax or thread the brows for 30 days.  This is serious, we are talking straight up unibrow on the horizon.  It will look something like this:

BEFORE Movember
AFTER Movember, that's me on the left

So here's the deal, friends, I grow the brow, Lord have mercy on those around me, you go to the Prostate Princess homepage and join or donate, and on the last day of November, I post a picture of my Burt looking self.  Will it be worth it?  Can't say, do you scare easily?

Here are the perks:

1. Prostate Cancer awareness!!!

2. You get to call yourself a Prostate Princess, or feel awesome about writing Prostate Princesses in as a tax write-off.

3. There are actually dudes on the team, they are hard core, not scared.

4. I am making snarky t-shirts for all the members {if you have a catchy slogan, please leave in the comment section}.

5.  Because I said please, so go visit our page...PLEASE!

Go Mo!!!

  1. Absolutely stunning pic of you. And I'm not talking about the one where we are together wearing the striped shirts. I cannot wait to see the unibrow...I bet you are still beautiful ;)

Btw...I am already too hairy to even be out in public. I know. Hot.

  2. Hahaha, you know I almost wrote, "Christina and I" under the Bert and Ernie caption. I don't believe for one minute that you are hairy yet. I'm going to end up looking like the team mascot.

  3. Your brows are gorgeous--they will rise to the challenge well, I'm sure. I always say I'm going to let mine grow back in a little, but it's that middle part between my eyes that I just can't let go. Good luck!

    1. I kinda cheated today and plucked a grey eyebrow out. Grey hairs are not included, they must die.

    1. Debatable, might already be there...we are kinda twins, except Christina is Asian, so there's that. Thanks for the support, Gina!

  5. That is a lovely beautiful pic of you ! Put this on Chris's post too. I'll do my part by growing my head hair. I could do eyebrows too, but not sure sure that'll make a diff since I rarely trim them anyway ( just pure laziness) !! As for the rest, like you, am not brave enough. Don't want to shock DH If I let stuff just grow :) !! Going to visit the page now.

    1. Thanks;) Movember is a chance to legitimately be lazy, it's just the explaining I'll have to do while people stare at the grotesque brow.

  6. You go girl!!! The Bert & Ernie pic cracked me up. Being of the Asian persuasion...I do not have a lot of hair. Any where. My penciled on eyebrows are proof of that. Eeep. So in support of Movember...decided to have our entire family sport the fake staches (there's a pic on my FB page).

Looking forward to the end of Movember...I think?!?! Great pic of you btw!

    1. I love your stache pic on Twitter, thanks for the website too;) I wish I had the hair-less problem, but alas, it is more of a chewbacca issue than otherwise. TMI? Probably.

  7. ha, I wanted to go under-armpit-mohair supportive...but I forgot. I got in the shower, pulled out the razor and took away the (what would have been already 3 weeks worth of) pit hair. I wanted to go to the pool at the gym. I was planning to tell the ladies...I had my advertisement all ready "I'm supporting prostate cancer awareness month" so stop staring and join me....
Sorry,....but I do have a mustache creeping in on my upper lip ....eeEEuuWW!...maybe I could do that?

    1. I almost forgot to say what a gorgeous picture that is of you! Sweet! Very beautiful! Did my little grand-nephew take the photo? did he say "Nice Cheese?"

    2. Grand-niece, she did a nice job, yes? I hate taking pictures of myself, that was right before trick or treating, so they had to do whatever I said. ;)

Takes a strong woman to grow some hair out for the dudes, I commend you.
